Snowbasin has teamed up with V.I.O. and is bringing you POV.HD updates from around the mountain throughout the season. Here’s a quick edit of some plentiful pow shots by Snowbasin athlete Alex Romashko. Enjoy!
“The first of many sick videos from our first session in Patagonia during the 2010 ski season at Cerro Catedral. The first week of camp in Argentina has been crazy: jumps, chutes, cliffs, and tons of POW! Pretty much the best July you could ever have. Check out South America Snow Sessions and come spend your summer riding in the Andes.” – TGR

Point-of-view powder snowboard footage shared by Brian.
“The guy you see in front of me is my Bro on the snow, Richard. He broke his arm at the end of the run so I wanted to give a shout out to him and a big thanks. This ones for you buddy!” – Brian Smith
Check out this great point-of-view powder run shared by Brian Paul Smith aka Powder POV.
“Talk about your perfect line. 11 inches of fluff, bluebird sky and all sides of the mountain open. Ask anyone who was up there and they will agree it was one of the best days yet for the 2009-2010 Season.” – Brian
“The sun came out and the wind died down on 6 inches of new snow. I bagged 23,000 feet of minty fresh pow and got some great footage!”
-Brian Paul Smith
Great POV snowboard footage…thanks Brian.

Sage recently won the “Best POV” category at the 2009 Powder Video Awards for his part in TGR’s Under the Influence (filmed using the V.I.O. POV.1). Way to go Sage.
“Outside of Movie of the Year and Best Male Performance, Best P.O.V. proved to be the most difficult category to judge in 2009…But it’s hard to deny the on-slope perspective, especially when Sage Cattagbriga-Alosa skis a steep, blind spine line on dreamy Alaskan snow. Instantly, the viewer feels there with Sage as you wiggle and gasp and hoot as he descends.” – Powder
